Provides expertise and technical support to help identify appropriate energy use metrics and sub-metering requirements, assists in the development of an energy management plan, provides process data and justifies business case requirements for future capital investments.

Year 1

  • Up to $25,000 for sub-metering and Integrated Energy Management System (IEMS)

Year 2

  • In-kind technical support (data analysis)

Years 3-5

Financial incentives based on verified savings:

  • Year 3 savings from baseline ≥5% = $10,000

  • HVAC redesign
  • Chiller replacement
  • Variable-speed drives
  • Improvement of a building envelope’s thermal performance through measures such as:
    • increased insulation, and installation of high-performance windows and frames
    • low-emissivity window glazing
    • low-emissivity roof barriers
  • implementation of new operating procedures required either to obtain or increase the effectiveness of an energy management system or building automation system, including the installation of equipment such as:
    • an energy management system
    • building automation systems
    • sensors
    • control equipment
    • metering equipment
    • related communication systems
